Chandramohanan Nair is a veteran film educator who graduated from the Film and Television Institute of Tamilnadu, Adyar, Chennai in 1978 after his graduation in Physics from Madurai University. He started his teaching career in 1981 at Film and Television Institute of Tamilnadu, Chennai and moved to  Film and Television Institute of India, Pune as Professor and HoD of Department of Acting in 1990. After his retirement from FTII Pune, he served as the Principal of St. Joseph College of Communication, Changanassery, the first university affiliated media College in South India from 2013 to 2016. He also served K.R.Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science and Arts ìn the capacity of Dean from 2017 to 2019. He has trained and mentored several renowned actors and other Film professionals during his decades long teaching career.
