Monisha R Baldawa

An alumnus of the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Monisha R Baldawa is an award-winning editor with a wide range of work across fiction and non-fiction - feature films, web series, art installation videos, and ad films. 
After completing her course in editing, she moved to Chennai and assisted the National Film Award-winning editor Akkineni Sreekar Prasad in films like Firaaq. Her first independent film (non-fiction) as an editor was, 'Labels from a Global City', directed by Surabhi Sharma. She has edited a lot of documentaries and short films. The 'Margarita with a Straw' was her first fiction film directed by Shonali Bose. Some of her significant projects are Begum Jaan (2017), Mom (2017), and the Sonam Kapoor starrer Neerja (2016) for which she won the Filmfare Award. Her 2018 projects include Dhadak and Fanney Khan.
