Shri. Abhilash Pillai

  Shri. Abhilash Pillai, a distinguished theatre practitioner, holds a Bachelor of Theatre Arts from the University of Calicut, a Postgraduate Diploma in Dramatics from the National School of Drama with distinction, and a diploma in Theatre Production and Stage Management from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, London. He completed a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University in 2012.

Abhilash Pillai served as dean of academics at the National School of Drama and currently holds positions as a professor there, as well as the executive director of the Asia Theatre Education Center in Beijing. He's acclaimed for his directorial work and has received awards such as the National Sanskriti Award (2003) and the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Award for Theatre Direction (2012).
