POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA PROGRAMME IN  SCRIPT WRITING & DIRECTION

Eligibility: A Degree from a University in India, approved by UGC/Government of Kerala.

Duration: Three years (Full-time residential)

The Film Direction course prepares the student in diverse aspects over a three year period, understanding the growth of Cinema and Television as an Art Form and learning the effective craft that are essential for Visual Communication.

POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA PROGRAMME IN CINEMATOGRAPHY

Eligibility: A Degree from a University in India, approved by UGC/Government of Kerala.

Duration: Three years (Full-time residential)

The invention of the movie camera in the late 19th century initiated fundamentals of Cinema. The students are trained professionally to work in all types of weather conditions using the state of the Art Equipments creatively, “Sculpting In Time & Space” for the perfection in a high degree of Cinematography to reach professionalism in craft and creativity. The students doing the Cinematography Course are given not only hands-on practical training in modern digital cameras along with extensive lensing and lighting practicals, but also a rigorous input in the aesthetics of image making.

POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA PROGRAMME IN EDITING

Eligibility: A Degree from a University in India, approved by UGC/Government of Kerala.

Duration: Three years (Full-time residential)

Students in Editing will be trained to be Editors with a high degree of creativity. Through hands-on practical training using the state of the art equipments, they travel through the fundamental and aesthetic principles of editing for film and television.

POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA PROGRAMME IN AUDIOGRAPHY

In Cinema, despite its late entry, sound now occupies as important a position as do visuals. A student attending this course will learn both the technical and creative aspects of the recording process. Students are trained to practice on state-of-the art equipment used in professional studios and upon completion of the Course, will be able to function professionally on the most modern platform of Audio Recording.

POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA PROGRAMME IN ANIMATION & VISUAL EFFECTS

Duration: Three years (Full-time residential)

The course will enable the student to gain knowledge and expertise in traditional 2-D Animation leading to 3-D as well as in multimedia, graphics, animation film, broadcast and web media and to take on a professional career in computer graphics, animation special effects etc. It will also enable them to develop an understanding of the underlying technology supporting multimedia, graphics and animation and apply advanced tools and techniques to develop the contents.

Developing the skill in Acting has two important aspects like (1) A trained actor, and (2) A natural untrained actor. The students of this course will be trained in theatre acting as well as behaviour methods. They will be trained in Body Language, Sense as well as Emotional memory, Projection and Underplay which are required for acting in different types of films.
