Shri. Saumyananda Sahi

  Shri. Saumyananda studied Cinematography at the FTII, after graduating in Philosophy. He founded Skreen Films with his wife.
Saumyananda has worked as a cinematographer on both documentaries as well as fiction features with eminent directors including Anne Aghion, Thomas F. Lennon, Kamal Swaroop, Gitanjali Rao, Vasant Nath, Arun Karthick, etc. His work has played at international film festivals, including Cannes, Berlin, Sundance, Rotterdam, etc.
Saumyananda won awards at MIFF (Have You Seen the Arana?, 2014) and IDSFFK (Rangbhoomi, 2014) & nominated for the Asia Pacific Award & Filmfare award for best cinematography. His most recent work includes the feature film Nasir (2020) and the documentaries Invisible Demons (2021) and All That Breathes (2022).
