  Shri. Kamal KM is a distinguished filmmaker, notable for his contributions to Malayalam cinema. A graduate of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Kamal KM has made a significant impact with his directorial ventures. He garnered acclaim for his debut feature "I.D." in 2012, showcasing his prowess in storytelling and direction. His repertoire also includes the critically acclaimed films "ALIF" (2010) and the recent "Pada" (2022). "Pada" made waves upon its release, earning Kamal KM the Kerala State Award for Best Story(2023). The film further solidified his reputation, winning the Critics' Choice Film Awards, India for Best Feature Film.

In addition to his filmmaking endeavors, Kamal KM has contributed to the field of education as an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Direction and Screenplay Writing at KRNNIVSA.
