Smt. Nina Sabnani

Member, Eminent Animation Filmmaker & Academician

Smt. Nina Sabnani is an artist and storyteller who uses animation film, illustration and writing to inform and enlighten her audiences. Several of her films have earned critical acclaim including the National Award for ‘Hum Chitra Banate Hain’ in 2016. In 2021 she was conferred with The Legend of Indian Animation award from Toonz Media Group. As a founder member of the animation programme at NID she has taught at NID and IDC for several decades. Nina currently lives in Chennai and is associated with several institutions in India.
